bistromath's Diaryland Diary

thoughts on a general theme

I think that I am unlike so many of my male peers for quite a few reasons, but the one that I have been wondering about lately is the active seeking of structured situations designed to justify life.

I'm talking sports. What are they other than life systems with rigid, inflexible, universally accepted rules for success, accomplishment, and survival. In other words, a reduction of life. But what is it that is the greatest about life? Is it not that when you wake up in the morning you're looking at possibility instead of routine? Well, I mean we all have to have routines, work, etc, but there is always room for both improvisation, freedom even within the groove of a day to day existance.

I do enjoy wathcing my favorite baseball team, but I have always tried to view it as an escape from reality, rather than a better version of.

Anyway, sorry about the lack of updates, I just really haven't had much to say for a long time now. I hope it gets better. I am sure I would blather more, but I am cat sitting and hate laptop keyboards for extendded typing sesions.

In a side note, I made my goal of playing and singing at open mic night before the year was over.
